學(xué)校簡章德蒙福特大學(xué)（De Montfort University），簡稱“DMU”，是一所坐落于英國英格蘭萊斯特郡的公立綜合性大學(xué)。大學(xué)命名為德蒙福特是為了紀(jì)念Simon de Montfort，曾經(jīng)的第六世萊斯特伯爵 （Earl of Leicester）, 中世紀(jì)期間建立英國第一個議會的偉人。德蒙福特大學(xué)擁有英國頂尖的藝術(shù)設(shè)計學(xué)院（畢業(yè)生榮獲奧斯卡獎），全世界范圍內(nèi)唯一獲得國際足聯(lián)認(rèn)證的碩士專業(yè)The FIFA Master ，共有23名教授榮獲英國高等教育學(xué)院授予的會士稱號。國際博士項目是英國德蒙福特大學(xué)專為國際學(xué)生定制的博士課程。國際博士項目允許在英國 以外的學(xué)生在 DMU 學(xué)習(xí) MPhil / PhD 學(xué)位課程，但要求學(xué)生在本國進行大部分研究。國際博士項目，學(xué)生會獲得和普通全日制博士項目學(xué)生，相同的學(xué)術(shù)支持和指導(dǎo)，并且，學(xué)生最終將會獲得相同的博士學(xué)歷證書。參加國際博士的學(xué)生，每年在英國12周，其中6周時間接受導(dǎo)師指導(dǎo)，6周做調(diào)研、修改 論文或準(zhǔn)備畢業(yè)答辯，剩余時間在國內(nèi)進行博士研讀。

申請:學(xué)費6000英鎊/年，29800元申請服務(wù)費，前提是英語達標(biāo)，無需任何 英語及專業(yè)上的指導(dǎo)。在調(diào)研階段，學(xué)生需每月通過 myResearch 上交 Progress Report，包括短期進展與目標(biāo)等。在研究試用期，學(xué)生需在開學(xué)的 6 個月內(nèi)完成First Project Review/學(xué)生每學(xué)年年末需完成 Annual Review Process(最晚為一學(xué)年最后兩個月內(nèi))。在校期間，學(xué)生必須參加generic Research Training Programme。學(xué)生需完成答辯程序(viva voce)我們有 Vice-chancellor’s 2020 獎學(xué)金，金額最高可以減免一半的學(xué)費。 我們還有一個針對計算機、工程、傳媒、影視、藝術(shù)設(shè)計和商法的獎學(xué)金( Computing, Engineering, Media Studies, Film Studies, Arts, Design, Humanities, Health and Life Sciences and Business and Law.)，分為全獎和學(xué)費 waiver 兩種。完成博士畢業(yè)論文及答辯(viva voce)全日制畢業(yè)時間一般都在3年，有極少數(shù)情況會延長。延畢第一年不用繳費，延畢第二年需要繳納 6100 英鎊。視情況而定，通常情況下，DMU 是給學(xué)生提供就業(yè)指導(dǎo)以及崗位機會Short term visit visa (短期交流訪問簽)德蒙福特大學(xué)的國際采取雙導(dǎo)師制，每一個主導(dǎo)師只能帶 6 個學(xué)生7)國際博士的學(xué)位證書和全部 3 年都在英國研修的有區(qū)別嗎?沒有任何區(qū)別，證書上不會有顯示國際博士或者遠程博士等字眼理論上可以，但是實際上研修一個專業(yè)方向已經(jīng)很困難，研究兩個可行性較低
